Singer

Paulo Henrique

Lead Vocals and Rythm Guitar

Paulo started his musical education on the keyboard at the age of 12. He was part of his first band at the age of 15 in which he played the keyboard and did the backing vocals. He taught himself to play bass guitar at the age of 20 and later took lessons. Playing keyboard, bass guitar and singing backing vocals, Paulo has played with several bands along the years incorporating different styles of music. He has played in hotels, bars, at weddings and parties, etc.
At the age of 25 Paulo started his career as lead singer. To start off with he sang in random gigs, but then he evolved to be the lead singer in several resident bands in many bars around the Algarve from 2005 to 2008. In 2008 Paulo joined Diesel, and has been playing with them in the Irish Cabin in Vilamoura, since 2009. In Diesel, he is the lead vocalist and plays rhythm guitar.

Leandro Russo

Lead Singer and Keyboards

Leandro was born on the 4th of August 1983 and started to learn music at the age of five. At six, Leandro began taking piano lessons and continued his lessons until the age of 16.
In 1998, as a keyboard player, he formed his first covers band. Leandro played in two more bands until he started playing in hotels around the Algarve, such as the Four Seasons, the Sheraton, the Tivoli, and the Hilton.
After playing with a couple more bands, Leandro joined Diesel in 2010.

Catarina Correia

Lead Singer

Catarina started singing when she was 14 years old.
When she was16 she was invited by ‘Iris’, a famous Portuguese band with multiple awards nominations, as a backing vocal.
She attended the Tavira Music Conservatory from 1997 to 2000. In 2009 and 2010 she took classes in piano music training and in singing. She has also taken a course of Jazz Piano at the Tavira Music Academy. After performing with the covers band Miss Catherine Band, a band named after her, she joined Diesel in 2011.

Jorge Loureiro

Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals

Jorge started playing the guitar when he was 12 years old and is now a full time musician and session player.
He currently plays lead guitar and does backing vocals for Diesel and a national artist called João Lum (http://www.joaolum.com.pt/) , for whom he has recorded the guitar solos of his new album. Jorge has also played with many other famous artists in Portugal such as Aramac, Nuno da Camara Pereira, Catarina Cabral (the winner of Big Brother III) and many others… He has featured in a few TV shows, promoting his music projects and participating in the elaboration of soundtracks for some TV series.
Jorge has received endorsements from Randall Amplifiers, Dava Picks and Perri’s guitar straps. In 2010 Jorge also received an endorsement from DUNLOP AND MXR. He plays Gibson guitars…
When free time is available, Jorge enjoys teaching music in private schools and producing music.

Helder Laranjo

Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals

- In 1992 started the musical adventure by choosing the bass guitar as an instrument. – In 1992 joined  the Philharmonic Band of Tavira playing tuba position ending in 1998. – In 1996 the band Bewildered fully replaced the former bassist with this band began recording in various studios processes ZipMIX which leads to the realization of some performances at the national level doing the first part of some well-known bands in Portugal as well as a happening in the music video channel with the theme SOLMUSICA MIJES AI IN PA. – In 1997 appears as a founding member of the orchestra music SONS light of the Gila. – In 1997 joins the group of several local artists in the group of Lower Rock Sea where they form an association of productions of shows with the same name with the office of president of the council tax. – In 1999 begins the game as a music teacher with children only. – In 2000 appears as a band member GUILTY and makes his first television appearance and playing live on Short Circuit program on channel Sic Radical – In 2001 the band’s original form MONSTER funky rock, record a CD with four themes in the studios Marenostrum and win the modern music festival in May which leads Young to carry out the first part shows the important bands in the country, with this band makes his second appearance on television playing in the program LOT 9 RTP2. – In 2003 the band so STONE COVERS BAND leaving the band in 2008 with over a thousand performances at national and international, and resident band at Rock Cafe bar in Albufeira, where during this time did the first part of multiple bands of national repute. In 2003 starts several musical works as a freelancer. – In 2008 part of the DIESEL BAND where they are residents of the IRISH CABIN bar on the marina of Vilamoura to date. – In 2009 the well-known brand has been sponsored by amplification DAVID EDEN At this point and beyond DAVID EDEN amplification also plays a Fender Precision bass 5 American delux, Musicman Stingray 4:02 JP Custom low. -Recently plays with João Lum(http://www.joaolum.com.pt/)  a national artist. and he have recorded the Bass guitar from the new album!!!

Bruno Maié

Drums and Backing Vocals

My name is Bruno Maié and i play the drums for a living. I started playing at 15 years old, self taught drummer at the time, and since then has been a non-stop over a variety of different discoveries!! I collect already more than 1500 gigs with various cover bands from different parts of Portugal. I have some experience in the studio. Freelance drummer with some cover bands in the Algarve. I am currently a drum teacher in pop, rock and funk, the music school of the Young Men’s Christian Association of Luso. I also attended the Percussion Workshop in Oporto where I have classes with Hugo Danin. I joined several projects, both covers and original songs as a drummer: Avalanch * 1992-1995 * Desnorteados 1995-2001 * Monstro 2001-2003 * Stone Covers Band 2003-2007 * Diesel Band 2008 – 2011 * Tribo Band 2011 * Diesel Band 2011 to the present. Cabin resident musician in Irish Pub in Vilamoura since April 2009 with Diesel Band.

João Ruano

Bass Guitar

After attending a Supertramp concert at the age of 16, João knew what his future would be and has never ceased to pursue his dream.
João has been the co-founder of several bands, such as, “Southwave” (1979), in which he played the drums, and “Apocalypse” (1986) and “Pedro Frias Band” (2004-2006) in which he played the bass guitar. He was also part of several nationally known bands, such as, “Entre Aspas” (1993-1995), in which he played the keyboard and guitar and “Iris” (1997-1999 and 2006-2010), playing only the keyboard.
Everyone who knows João can state that, whatever the instrument he plays, accuracy and professionalism are his major brand images.
Currently, João divides his time between Diesel, and his own productions. He has spent his entire life participating in projects that justify the pleasures of composing and playing with his friends.
João, who will surprise you on either bass or keys, is a musician full of fire and passion and has the genuine spirit of an Indian warrior. In his own words: Music is just … TO EXIST!

André Cardoso

Lead Singer

André self taught himself to play the guitar at the age of 13. At 15 he gave his first concert with the first band he played with. During roughly one year he took up guitar lessons in a music school in Loulé.
At the age of 19, a sudden interest in singing awakened in André and he took his first try at being the vocalist in the band “Digamma”(http://www.myspace.com/digamma). With this band he has given many concerts as the opening act of national and international bands and has won some awards along the way. In 2007 André recorded the first E.P. with the band, receiving good feedback. This project has been kept to date and the band is preparing to record their debut album.
In 2011 André started playing in a rock covers band and is to been seen regularly in a bar in Albufeira.
André has recently joined Diesel and plays with them in the Irish Cabin in Vilamoura.
